Pumpkins and Pups

Late as usual with my post. I wish things would slow down a bit, but I don't see that happening any time soon. We have had a great October and November. Bowen was a puppy for Halloween. I know the puppy theme has been consistent, but this actually wasn't intentional. Our sweet friends the Spillyards let Bowen borrow their cute costume. This turned out to be great since he really didn't like wearing it too much! I am glad I didn't spend a lot of money on one. We didn't take him out for Halloween because it would have been us that ate the candy, and we're too old to get candy!
Bowen is finally walking..although that didn't really happen until November. He has been quite cautious and calculated in the area of walking (which I suppose I am very thankful for.) He loves his push car and even runs behind it!! He is saying Mama, Dada, Bye-Bye, Dog, Ack-Ack (Quack-Quack), and imitates a few other words here and there. He babbles ALL of the time and calmly hits his chest (like he means it)while he is talking. He also makes himself laugh while he is jabbering...and that is just too funny to watch.
He is still a total lover-boy and gives tons of hugs and kisses. Although, he can be a bit aggressive at times, too. I picked him up at Mrs. Pat's one day, and she told me he had gone to time out!! He couldn't get to what he wanted and almost bit another baby. He is teething these last 2nd year molars and so he just doesn't know what else to do sometimes except to bite. Usually he just bites mama. Also, when I say "time-out"- I mean time out. He had to stand in the corner! Mrs. Pat stood there with him. Funny and NOT funny. I never thought I would be getting conduct reports so early!! Mrs. Pat is really so good to us, and I am so glad she cares and disciplines her babies. We love her so much and are so grateful to have her! Hope your Fall was great. It is getting colder here, so I guess that means good-bye Fall..the best season. I will post more soon. (Soon is relative, right?)

Remember this?

Same place, same face...one year later!

I was a puppy for Halloween! Do you like puppies?

I love Lucy...

and Missy, too!

I am crying right before this and immediately after. I don't know how my mom even got this picture.

I loved this Indian corn almost more than the pumpkins!

I love my daddy!

It was such a pretty day!

Can we get all of these?

I can probably pick this up.

I like this one!

All Smiles!

Mama calls me her pumpkin. Do I look like this?? I think I am a little bit cuter.

Hogs and Aggies

The beginning of October found us in Arlington for the first Arkansas and Texas A&M reunion. When we got married..and while we were dating, there was no possibility of this happening (except for maybe a bowl game...big maybe). Saturdays were easy in those days. Then, a little contract got signed between 2 schools, and well, here we are- fighting over what our child will wear!
We had a fun weekend in Texas, and Bowen wore both red and marroon. It was actually very hard for me to dress him on game day, but I had to take a big gulp of my pride. Ironically, people thought our little man was quite funny and strangers were actually taking his picture.
Grammy and Pop were so gracious to meet us for the weekend, and we enjoyed spending time with them. Thanks Grammy and Pop for watching our little man.
See below for what "bottoms" ended up on top!

Fun with friends Grant and Angela

A house divided...for the weekend...and one conflicted child.

Big Stadium, Big Boy!

Even the end zone seats were great.

My sweet Grammy took care of me while Mommy and Daddy went to the game!

Fun with Grammy and Pop!

I think he wants the hat off. What do you think?

Everything's bigger in Texas.

Just for scrapbooking's sake...so we can remember! ;)
