The ring was beared- well sort of. Bowen did a great job in his own little planned way at Uncle Alan and Aunt Monica's wedding. The nuptials were held at the NWA Botanical Gardens. There was about 75 yards of field before you got to the last row of chairs (and the aisle began). Bowen didn't want to hold his pillow, but he did start down the pre-aisle with me! We weaved in and out of bridesmaids as they made their way. I was supposed to go 3rd to last, but Bowen decided to go with the first bridesmaid out, so I had to go with him. We walked. Then, we paused. Then we went to the right and to the left a little bit and then back to the center. Bridesmaids are passing us. Back on track to the center aisle...almost to where the aisle begins!! Here we go, we're going to do it....
But no! Another stall. At this point, I decide I am going to have to carry him down the aisle, so I try to pick him up. Scream.
That was it for me. I was mad. I just left my child to his lonesome at the back of the ceremony...free to wander in the Botanical Gardens hoping a Botanical snake didn't get him. I walk on down the aisle. Jeremy (who is up front) is motioning to all of the cousins "on call" to go around and get him. Friends not on call even tried to go get him. I still was just hoping he didn't find a poisonous beetle to play with...all the while smiling as a dutiful bridesmaid should. Leah, the outer-aisle cousin, goes around to get him.
But she couldn't. Bowen, at that time, decides to march down the aisle by himself just prior to the flower girls. EXACTLY when he was supposed to go anyway!! Little stinker. He walked down that aisle calm and handsome, proudly carrying his paper cup of ice! He got to the front, looked to see where the music was coming from, and stood there. Inner-aisle cousin, Ashley, grabs him and they sit and enjoy the wedding. Almost.
Enjoyed it until his ice ran out, at which time, he screams. Marathon-veteran, inner- aisle cousin Ashley promptly runs him out of the ceremony. (Had I known, I would have had a cooler full of ice waiting for him.)
Yeah! It's over. Let's go to the reception and dance and party! Mama can relax.
Congratulations Alan and Monica!!
Glad you didn't want to really tie those rings to the pillow!!
Let's talk about love.

Going to the Chapel!!
Dear Uncle Alan and Aunt Monica,
I am so happy that you are getting married!! I can't wait to be in your wedding this weekend. I promise I will be good and carry my pillow really nicely. I promise I won't cry or scream, and I will walk down the aisle like a big boy. My mommy is bringing me some Dum-dum suckers so I can sit and watch the rest of the wedding.
I Love you both,
Bowen
Official Ring Bearer
P.S. I can't wait to dance at the reception!

Congratulations Alan and Monica!!

Daffodils
For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies;
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.
For the wonder of each hour,
Of the day and of the night;
Hill and vale and tree and flower,
Sun and moon, and stars of light;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.
For the joy of ear and eye,
For the heart and mind's delight;
For the mystic harmony,
Linking sense to sound and sight;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.
For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child;
Friends on Earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

Easter Colors
We had a very happy Easter. Last year, we posed Bowen with the eggs, this year, it was all him! He "talks" quite a bit, but when we put the cups of colored dye down in front of him, this boy started talking up a storm! He loved it! It was like he was narrating the whole thing and telling us all what every color was and what to do next. He loved hunting for the eggs and he loved throwing them! We had a happy Easter and hope you did, too!
Colors!
Oooh! Let me see!
This is so much fun!
I like yellow!
Look at those pretty eggs (I call them balls and throw them!)
I am so proud of myself!
Mommy and Daddy helped me!
The Easter Bunny came to my house!
I like looking for these eggs!
Here are some more!
Even on Daddy's truck!
I think I will put them all back up here on the truck!
All ready! Let's walk to church!
Mama and me
All of us
Oh, yeah- I had breakfast with the Easter Bunny- let's just say I didn't like it too much.
